Repair service at pampeano

All of our premium leather pampeano products are crafted with longevity in mind. We want to look after our customers and part of that is after-sales care. Hand made with the finest materials and exquisite craftsmanship, our luxury leather articles are designed to last a lifetime. However, we also know that wear and tear can happen over time, and your cherished belt may require some TLC to keep it looking its best. That's where our repair service may be of use to you.

Here’s a few tips to make your pampeano products last even longer:

• To clean our cotton canvas, simply use a cloth or sponge and some natural soap and water and to gently blot over the area. Then allow to dry at room temperature.
• Due to the natural oils in the leather, small marks can be smoothed out easily by rubbing over the mark with your hands. If you want to use a leather conditioner, we recommend that it is a natural product like beeswax balm that doesn’t include any harmful chemicals. Apply a small amount of natural leather wax to add a protective layer and a slight sheen. Use a soft cloth to buff the leather after applying the wax.
• To maintain or clean the hardware, please use a good quality brass polish, taking care not to apply to the other materials such as the leather or canvas.
• Cleaning wax-dipped threads should be done with care to avoid removing the wax coating. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away any surface dust or dirt. For additional protection and maintenance, consider using a thread conditioner designed for waxed threads.
• Our dust bags and boxes are not only part of our plastic free luxury packaging but are designed to ensure your cherished products last longer. We would recommend storing your bag, belt or accessories in the bag or box when they are not in use.

How our pampeano repair service works: simply get in touch with us with details of the damage to your product (with photos please) to customer.services@pampeano.com, and, where reasonable, we will coordinate with you to receive, repair, and return your pampeano product to you.

Please note, that if you have put your product in the washing machine, we will not be able to rectify the damage to the leather, so please don’t ask us to do this. It is apparent when one has been heat and water damaged; the leather goes wrinkly having been severely damaged by the heat and full immersion in water, and the wax melts off the threads.

Our repair service is handled by our UK colleagues. Sometimes a pin goes on the buckle on a much loved leather belt, or stitching comes loose on a dog collar because Fido caught it on something or a leather bag strap needs replacing. We want to help. We will give it a clean and a polish too.

When your product arrives back with us, our team will assess its condition to determine the extent of the repairs needed. Depending on the assessment, we'll perform the necessary repairs to restore it to its former glory. This may include restitching, replacing hardware, belt buckle restoration or refinishing the leather. Once the repairs are complete, your pampeano article will be checked over by one of our customer services colleagues and then sent back to you, ready to be used with pride once again.
